TOS is the gold standard IMHO for options trading and has a lot more features than the stripped-down TW (again, some want stripped down). You will find TOS has a learning curve but is well worth it once you get the hang of it. Yes, .65 to open and .65 to close for $1.30 total compared to $1 total for TW.
I just tried to display after-hours and pre-market prices on my paper-money account and I checked the corresponding options in the equities tab, so it should display them theoretically. Thinkorswim gives me the 1003 price mark for TSLA even though the after-hours price, according to google, has reached 1011 already.For placing orders outside of ThinkorSwim, you might want to look at the TD Ameritrade API. No, not correct. $1 to open, $0 to close. All regulatory fees are 10-14c per contract. Not trying to be a jerk, but it is important to remember the exchange fees for things like SPX, ~75c per contract I think.
